Neurolinguistic Programming
Neuro Linguistic Programming Blog
Neuro Lingustic Programming (NLP), founded by Richard Bandler and John Grinder is about "Neuro", your mind and body makeup. "Linguistic", language. And Programming, the use of language and how it can bring about the kinds of responses you want.
My interest in NLP started when I listened to Anthony Robbins on CD's and read his books to discover that he was able to effect permanent change in people through the use of NLP.
In the study and the use of any technolgy (NLP), the core reason for any of it to work is usually the essence of believe one holds on the subject matter. Let's take the Bible for instance... "Faith is to be sure of the things we hope for and to be certain of the things we cannot see" So it is with faith that we believe that God exists and that he is the creator of all things. "Faith comes from hearing the word of God".
If we have not heard the word before, how can faith come? It may have been through reading or perhaps through some sharing from a friend that we first come to know about "God". Similarily, it is through hearing about it from some people and reading about it was when I started to know what NLP was all about. But my believe in the subject was not yet at the believe stage as I had not yet begun to put my faith in it. "Faith without deeds is dead". (Application)
First application:-
NLP Presupposition: "There is no such thing as failure, only feedback"
Biblical belief: "When I confess, my sins are forgiven"
In the first instance, "there is no such thing as failure, only feedback" tells me that there is no such thing as failure but only feedback I get from doing something in a certain way or sequence and the response I get is the feedback from doing.
In the second instance, when I confess. My sins are forgiven. When I don't confess, will my sins be forgiven? Hold that thought.
Quantum Physics tells us today that electron particles behave in a certain way when it is being observed and another when it is not.
If I had not known that my sins are forgiven when I confess, would I receive forgiveness if I confesed then? But it is through my believe in the presupposition that when I confessed, by sins are forgiven is when a transformation occurs. And in quantum physics, the very thought expressed in our minds has become a different outcome.
